CHICAGO (Viernes, 3 de enero, 2013) – El mediocampista de Chivas USA Marco Delgado ha sido convocado por la Selección Nacional Sub-20 de Estados Unidos para su campamento nacional de nueve días de duración en Lakewood Ranch, Fla. La concentración dio comienzo el viernes y durará hasta el 12 de enero.

Esta concentración marca la segunda del equipo en este nuevo ciclo y la primera a nivel nacional. El campamento en Flórida tendrá dos amistosos interescuadras.

El plantel de 36 hombres dirigido por el Seleccionador Tab Ramos incluye a 28 jugadores relacionados con la Academia de Desarrollo, que incluye a 12 miembros registrados recientemente con academias. Las sesiones coinciden con la concentración de la Sub-18 de EE.UU. dirigida por el seleccionador Javier Pérez.

Para el producto de la Academia rojiblanca, ésta es la segunda convocatoria con la Sub-20, después de formar parte de la concentración internacional de 10 días en Italia el pasado noviembre.

A la conclusión de la concentración con la Selección, Delgado regresará a Los Ángeles para prepararse de cara al inicio de la pretemporada 2014 de Chivas USA.

CHICAGO (Friday, Jan. 3, 2013) – Chivas USA midfielder Marco Delgado has been called up to the United States Under-20 Men’s National Team for their nine-day domestic training camp in Lakewood Ranch, Fla. The camp, which began on Friday, will run through Jan. 12.

This marks the team’s second camp of the new cycle and first domestic camp. The Florida camp will also feature two intrasquad scrimmages.

The 36-man roster led by Head Coach Tab Ramos includes 28 players with ties to the Development Academy, including 12 players who are currently registered for Academy teams. The sessions coincide with a U-18 Men’s National Team camp headed by Javier Perez.

For the Red-and-White Academy product, this is the second time he has been called up to the U-20 squad. Delgado was part of the 10-day international training camp in Italy last November.

Upon the conclusion of the National Team’s camp, Delgado will return to Los Angeles to begin preparations to report to Chivas USA’s 2014 preseason camp.
