It was all about the attack plan as Chivas USA returned to training this week. The Goats will look to regain another positive streak as they head to face Real Salt Lake on Saturday, April 20 at Rio Tinto Stadium for the team’s third road game of the season.

After taking a 1-0 loss to the Colorado Rapids, Coach Chelis saw it necessary to work on the attack plan and finishing plays. Although the Goats managed to have control and possession of the ball, they were unable to finish any of the 11 attempts at goal on Saturday.

“We did not have enough strength and believe me, I’m very happy with the loss because this is a sport, and in sports, the one who’s more decisive is the one who takes the win,” Coach Chelis said on Saturday after the game.

After four weeks of recovery and treatment, Walter Vilchez made his first appearance at Chivas USA training on Tuesday morning. The Peruvian defender suffered an MCL tear in the last minutes of the match against FC Dallas on March 10. Although Vilchez train with the team, he says things are looking up and hopes to return within 2-3 weeks.
