Chivas USA to face Spartans FC & Cal FC in friendlies
CARSON, Calif. (Monday, April 1, 2013) – Chivas USA today announced that it will host two scrimmages this week against Spartans FC and Cal FC. The friendlies were scheduled as a result of the Rojiblancos’ April 7 match at Seattle being moved to Sept. 4 to accommodate CONCACAF Champions League semifinals which run from April 2-10. The Red-and-White are now set to meet Spartans FC this Tuesday at 10 a.m. (PT) at The Home Depot Center’s Field 6. The Red-and-White will then follow up with their second scrimmage on Friday, April 5, beginning at 9 a.m. on a field to be determined later in the week.
Orange County FC is the newest member in the National Premier Soccer League or NPSL for the 2013 season, playing in the South West Region and representing the Orange County soccer community a recent affiliation with one of the best youth soccer academies in the nation the Pateadores Soccer Academy, Orange County FC looks ahead into the 2013 season.
Cal FC had a successful run in last season’s US Open Cup, becoming the first USASA team to defeat an MLS side without the need of going to penalty kicks to determine the winner. Cal FC came away with a 1-0 victory over the Portland Timbers at Jeld-Wen Field.

Chivas USA currently sits in second place in the Western Conference and has the following weekend off from MLS competition. The Rojiblancos return to league play on April 13 and look to extend their unbeaten streak to five when they host conference rival the Colorado Rapids at The Home Depot Center starting at 7:30 p.m. (PT).
