Chivas USA earned its first three points on Sunday after a 3-1 win over FC Dallas at The Home Depot Center. Juan Agudelo, Oswaldo Minda and Giovani Casillas each scored in the Red-and-White victory. With the win, the Goats move up to the third spot in the Western Conference standings. Dallas will host Houston Dynamo on Sunday and will fight to earn ‘El Capitan’ that the Dynamo won last year.

·         At the top of the Western Conference, Vancouver Whitecaps FC earned their second win of the season, defeating the Columbus Crew 2-1 on Saturday at BC Place. The ’Caps will have a bye week before heading to BBVA Compass Stadium for their first road game of the season against Houston Dynamo.

·         The Colorado Rapids continue struggling in the new season, unable to earn their first points. Last Saturday, the Rapids took a 2-1 loss to the Philadelphia Union at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. The Rapids will take part of MLS’ Rivalry Week, travelling to Rio Tinto Stadium to face Real Salt Lake in the first of three games of the Rocky Mountain Cup. Although RSL kicked off the season with a 2-0 win, the Utah-based team fell 1-0 at D.C. United on Saturday.

·         The San Jose Earthquakes earned their first win of the season with a dramatic, last minute 2-1 victory over the New York Red Bulls. Rookie Adam Jahn and Chris Wondolowski scored the two goals for the Earthquakes. San Jose will travel to Ohio to face the Columbus Crew on Saturday.

·         Kicking off Cascadia Cup this Saturday, Seattle Sounders FC will host the Portland Timbers at Century Link Field. The Sounders had a bye week in MLS, participating in CONCACAF’s Champions League, but the Timbers took a 2-1 loss to the Montreal Impact on Saturday. Aside from the Timbers and the Sounders, the Cascadia Cup includes Vancouver Whitecaps FC, who will play the Timbers on May 18.

Chivas USA will be the “away” team this Sunday, playing the LA Galaxy in the first SuperClásico of the season. For all game updates, follow Chivas USA’s official day-of-game Twitter account: @ChivasGameday
