There are no days off for Chivas USA this week as they continue preparing for this Saturday’s game against Vancouver Whitecaps FC. With all focus on the upcoming game, the Red-and-White hit The HDC’s Field 6 Wednesday morning for another day of preparation.

While the team worked on conditioning, the goalkeepers held their own practice with Coach Chelis standing by, observing them closely. The three ‘keepers later joined practice where each of them were challenged with shootouts; defender Bobby Burling turned heads twice as he headed two balls past the Chivas ‘keepers. Shortly after, the team was separated into two groups where the players had to score in 10 touches and in a 30-second time limit.

During a half-field scrimmage, the objective of the exercise for one team was to regain possession of the ball, while the other needed to maintain it. The best duel of the scrimmage came between Marky Delgado and Jorge Villafana, who fought even after the ball went out of bounds.

The team will train every day for the rest of the week at 10:30 am at Field 6. Chivas USA will host Vancouver Whitecaps FC this Saturday, March 30 at 7:30 pm PT at The Home Depot Center.
