Chivas USA will look to extend preseason’s five-game unbeaten streak when they face Colorado Rapids on Friday, Feb. 15 at Sam Boyd Stadium as part of the Las Vegas ProSoccer Challenge. The Goats kicked off preseason on a high note, defeating UC Irvine 4-1 in late January. Chivas’ first major challenge came when they faced MLS side Chicago Fire; the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

The Red-and-White arrived and trained in Las Vegas on Thursday afternoon, preparing for another challenge. Looking to continue his goal scoring streak, Ecuadorian midfielder Miller Bolaños, who has notched six goals in preseason, sees the game against Colorado as a building block ahead of the 2013 Opening Match on March 2.

“Every game is different,” Bolaños said. “We have to continue working hard to give our all and continue the way we’ve been playing, keep coach [Chelis] happy and hopefully we can continue the positive results.”

The last time Chivas USA faced the Colorado Rapids was on October 20, 2012, when the Red-and-White took a 2-0 loss at The Home Depot Center.  In the 2013 season, the Goats will host the Rapids twice; on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, August 11.
