Sorry, Rauwshan! For us Californians, we must wear our ear muffs and gloves in 60 degree weather. It’s just how we roll.

Traveling Goats

While some Goats players headed back to their hometown for the offseason/ holidays, others are taking the time to travel to other countries and do some good. First up, defender James Riley headed to South Africa for a charity mission along with former Chivas USA midfielder Michael Lahoud and friend Mike Herman. Good luck guys!

Meanwhile, forward Juan Agudelo took advantage of the offseason to visit his birth country, Colombia. Here’s a pretty cool view upon his arrival:

Chivas USA’s U16 and U18 teams ended their participation in U.S. Soccer Federation’s Winter Showcase this week. Both squads finished the tournament with a 1-1-1 record. The U18’s concluded the tournament with a dramatic 4-3 win over D.C. United on Monday with a hattrick from forward Adonis Amaya. Great job guys!

Back in April of this year, told you to keep an eye for Anthony Dheming and he’s back in the spotlight. Although the 18-year-old is no longer with the Academy, Dheming has resurged as El Salvador’s promising future as the Gardena native is currently on international duty with the Central American squad. We’re sure we’ll hear more on him in the future:

Going for the second round: Chivas USA U16 Coach Mike Munoz was called up for U.S. U15 training camp scheduled for January at HDC. Good luck Mike!

In case you missed it, Chivas USA had a poll to choose your favorite mascot. We went back to 2005 when our first mascot was Chivita. The following year, ChivaFighter emerged and has not changed since. Although most fans preferred ChivaFighter, here’s a fan that liked Chivita:

Ladies and gentlemen, take note. You might want to use this for the holidays:
