Te Klose introduced as new Sporting President
Chivas Guadalajara and Chivas USA’s sporting structure has a new leader, as President of the Administrative Council of Grupo Omnilife - Chivas, Jorge Vergara introduced the newly-appointed Sporting President Dennis te Kloese, Wednesday afternoon at the Pascual “Pato” Gomez Press Room located in the Valle Verde facilities.
Via satellite connection in the U.S., Vergara welcomed Te Kloese, who will function as the head of the sporting structure for both Chivas Guadalajara and its sister club, Chivas USA – a move that will certainly strengthen the clubs in all aspects.
“I am very happy to welcome Dennis te Kloese back to Chivas,” said Vergara. “This is the first team he worked for in Mexico, he then left and prepared himself for 10 years and now returns as sporting president in a very important role.
“The task is to make both Club Guadalajara and Chivas USA successful. He will have a lot of responsibilities and it is a huge task that awaits him,” Vergara added. “The project does not change, what changes is the person, although it may be coincidence that the nationality is the same, we however continue with the same project.
“We believe in the continuity of this project and we have very clearly talked about the tasks and responsibilities that he will have, so we welcome Dennis te Kloese,” said Vergara.
With respect to the sporting project within the Red-and-White organization, Vergara also addressed the fans by saying, “The project continues, and the project will not be held back, and the project will be stronger than ever. All areas of football, youth academies, Chivas USA, Coach [John] van’t Schip as well as [Jose Luis] Sanchez Sola and all the other people that depend on soccer, will depend in the area of Dennis te Kloese,” Vergara said.
With the official introduction as to the duties and tasks Te Kloese will be conducting with Chivas and Chivas USA, the newly-appointed sporting president of the Red-and-White organization showed his appreciation toward Vergara and Angelica Fuentes, Executive President of Grupo Omnilife - Chivas, for the opportunity to be the head of said project, and committed himself to bring the results that both clubs deserve.
“First of all I want to thank Jorge Vergara and Angelica Fuentes for the great confidence they have shown by naming me sporting president of Chivas and Chivas USA,” said Te Kloese. For me it is a great honor accepting the position of sporting president and be the one who is responsible for both clubs.
“For 10 years, Jorge Vergara and Angelica Fuentes have invested impressive amounts of money into Estadio Omnilife, in players for the club, in the youth academy and even into an international expansion, all in search of constant growth and displaying social responsibility.
“It is a great honor for me to return to the team that gave me the opportunity to work in Mexican soccer,” he added. “My goal is to make Chivas and Chivas USA winning teams and teams the fans can be proud of, always working with the great respect – that is the essence of Chivas.”
One of the first tasks bestowed upon the newly-appointed sporting president of the Rojiblancos is to analyze everything the organization has, possesses and requires to maximize soccer performance, a task that will begin with an analysis to be able to make the first decisions and take both clubs among the leaders of Liga MX and Major League Soccer.
“It is important to maintain everything valuable that exists in the club,” Te Kloese said. “There are a lot of very valuable people. It is important that I lend support where it is needed, and if I see something that we should change, we will change it. After a good analysis I will put together a good work team to maintain this important project.
“I have a very clear idea of how to obtain results, and when the time comes we will share those plans, goals and the method of work. I always work with honesty, transparency, and I think that my biggest defect is that I work too much, that is why I have been able to always obtain positive results wherever I have been.
“It is truthfully an honor to represent the most important team in Mexico, and that is how I will take this challenge. Thank you very much,” concluded Te Kloese.
