SCDSL Competition

B8 Chivas USA 13, Arsenal FC 0
Cal State San Bernardino
The U8's played this past Saturday at Cal State San Bernardino against the Gunners of Arsenal and won by a score of 13-0. Having worked for the past two weeks on 1-2 combination passing, the little goats put this to great use on the pitch in their dominating victory. Bryan Velasquez and Favian Vasquez led the way with 3 goals apiece. Despite not scoring on this day, Juanito Zaragoza had 5 assists from his forward position. The U8's will have the next couple weeks off until the next SCSDL Jamboree.

B9 Chivas USA 3, Arsenal FC 4
Cal State San Bernardino
The U9's tasted defeat for the first time this past Saturday against Arsenal FC at Cal State San Bernardino. Despite the loss there were many positives in the game that the U9's can be proud of. Maintaining their composure and discipline under heavy pressure and a rowdy sideline crowd, the little rojiblancos continued to do good things on the pitch. The 9's have a bye next week before ending league play against FRAM and South Bay.

B10 Chivas USA 3, Santa Clarita 0
Rancho Pico Jr High School
Goals from Aimar Cuevas, Tomy Angel and Leonardo Vazquez proved to be more than enough to overcome a very determined Santa Clarita squad. Santa Clarita came out from the opening whistle and pressured the little goats. Chivas settled in and showed their poise, especially in front of the net. The team earned another shutout with stellar performances by defenders Frankie Alvarez, Pedro Quinonez and Alan Valenciano. Daniel Ramirez and Adrian Munoz were solid in the nets. Kevin Rodriguez and Daniel Ramirez controlled the midfield and kept the Santa Clarita midfield at bay.

B11 Chivas USA 5, Pats LA 3
Robert F Kennedy High School
The U11’s remained in first place of Flight 1 North Division, with a 5-3 win vs a relentless Pats LA squad. It was a tale of two halves with Chivas dominating the first half. Goals from Diego Lopez, Saul Chavira, Bryan Rosales and Mario Ruiz put the little goats ahead at half 4-1. In the second half, Pats LA came out pressing and determined to trim the lead. Kellen Willmore added an early second half goal off of a corner kick. The Chivas defense began to drop after the fifth goal, which allowed Pats LA many chances at goal from close range. Martin Delgado had another stellar game in goal for the little rojiblancos.

B14 Chivas USA 4, Beach FC 0
Aviation Park
Last weekend Chivas faced Beach FC for the second time this season. Chivas USA dominated and maintained possession on both halves and played practically the entire game on Beach FC's half. The first half ended in a scoreless tie after Chivas failed to score after creating multiple opportunities. The second half started with leading goal scorer Diego Escobar injured on the bench for the remainder of the game. Chivas regrouped and started attacking from the opening whistle. There were multiple crosses from both wings that created scoring opportunities. In the 50th minute, Ethan attacked from the right side and penetrated Beach FC's defense and slipped a ball just inside the box to Derek Von Puschendorf , who finished calmly for the first goal. Ten minutes later, David Ramon took on his defender on the left side, went around him and placed the ball to Jose Ortega for a 2-0 lead. Three minutes later Ortega and Tyler Marquez played a quick combination inside the penalty box and Tyler placed the ball to the far post for a 3-0 lead. In the 65th minute, Irve Sanchez made an overlapping run and passed the ball to Arreola who took his trademark shot from outside the penalty box and scored the final goal of the game. The little goats currently sit in fifth place of flight 2 in the SCDSL.

B15 Chivas USA 0, Santa Barbara 2
