The Chivas USA Youth Academy continued their SCDSL fall season this past weekend

The 2012/13 Chivas USA Youth Academy continued their SCDSL fall season this past weekend with all youth teams in action. Here are the results from this very successful weekend. Congratulations to our teams and thank you to our players, parents and coaches for their dedication and commitment to Chivas USA!

SCDSL COMPETITION

B9 Chivas USA 6, Real So Cal White 1
Rincon Park, Chino
The U9's began the 2nd round of play Saturday with a win over Real SoCal White by a score of 6-1. Dennis Rodriguez led the way with 5 goals but more importantly the young goats put together some great soccer.

B10 Chivas USA 2, Real So Cal Blue 2
North Ranch
The U10's traveled to Thousand Oaks Saturday afternoon to play the mighty Real SoCal Blue. Real SoCal, a tough side gave Chivas all they could handle and the result was a 2-2 tie.

B10 Chivas USA 7, Arsenal FC 2
Cal State San Bernardino
Trying to bounce back for a tie the day before, the Chivas BU10 side took a part the Gunners of Arsenal with a resounding 7-2 victory. Kevin Rodriguez and Frankie Alvarez led the scoring. The 10's put together a great display of combination passing to break down an athletic Arsenal side.

B11 Chivas USA 2, FC Golden State Academy 1
Veterans Park, Pomona
The U11’s served up a 2-1 victory over their rival FC Golden State on Saturday afternoon under very hot conditions. Diego Lopez scored two goals to lead the little Goats to victory. It was a very inspiring effort by every player. On hand was newly appointed Chivas USA president Jose David to watch the little Rojiblancos in action for the first time.

B14 Chivas USA 1, Strikers FC 1
Whittier Soccer Complex
Saturday morning Chivas BU14 faced Strikers FC. The game began with Chivas dominating possession and attacking. In the 19th minute, midfielder Jose Arreola passed the ball to Diego Escobar outside the penalty box and Diego went around a couple of defenders and scored. Diego had a couple of more opportunities in the first half, but the scored remained 1-0 Chivas at the half. The second half started with Chivas playing with a lot of energy and playing on the Strikers half of the field. The Strikers managed to break out and score a goal. The game finished 1-1.

B15 Chivas USA 2, Real So Cal 1
North Ranch
The Chivas USA BU15's rebounded this weekend with a win vs. Real So Cal - Blue. The Red and White came out pressuring and winning balls. The goats controlled possession in the first half, which opened up several scoring opportunities resulting in goals by Orlando Lopez and Cesar Becerra. Minutes before the first half ended, Real So Cal - Blue scored off a free kick. The Chivas USA BU15's battled hard in the second half, had many scoring opportunities, but were unable to find the back of the net, thus resulting in a 2-1 victory for the Red and White.

USSDA U16 Chivas USA U16 3, Real So Cal 0
Oak Park High School, Oak Park
Goals from Mark Hernandez, Alejandro Vergara and Eddie Murillo proved to be more than enough to take care of their rivals from up north. This is the third consecutive shut out for the U16’s.

USSDA U18 Chivas U18 1, Real So Cal 1
Oak Park High School, Oak Park
The U18’s went down a man early in the second half, but played their most inspiring soccer during this time. Ben Spencer got the Red-and-Whites on the board with about 20 minutes remaining. Real So Cal added a late goal to salvage a 1-1 draw.
