B11 Chivas USA 6, Fram 0
Palos Verdes Intermediate School, Palos Verdes
The little Rojiblancos came out to play Saturday morning with two early goals from Kellen Willmore and Diego Lopez. With first team assistant coach Greg Vanney in attendance the little goats wanted to impress. In the second half the little Goats played out of pressure finding their three midfielders (Steven Anderson, Eduardo Mosqueda and Victor Perez) who created plenty of chances for the the three forwards. Eduardo Mosqueda, Guillermo Lopez, Jaime Gonzalez and Mario Ruiz all added a goal a piece for Chivas in the second half. Martin Delgado had his first clean sheet of the season. Chivas' next game is this Saturday vs South Bay Force at 8 a.m. at Veterans Park.
B14 Chivas USA 1, Pats LA 3
Hollywood High School
Chivas 14's took on Pats LA. Tyler Marquez had the first real opportunity for the little goats when he dribbled around a defender outside the Pats LA penalty box and took a high arching shot that hit the cross bar. In the 27th minute, Leo Perez received a pass from Tyler Marquez from the left side, dribbled into Pats penalty box and was fouled before he could take the shot. The eferee awarded us a penalty kick and Tyler Marquez converted the penalty kick to the far post to tie the game up at 1-1. In the second half, Diego Escobar had several opportunities inside the Pats LA penalty box but could not convert, including a shot from Ethan Aurangzeb that bounced off the Pats LA goalkeeper. The U14's ended up losing 3-1.
B15 Chivas USA 4, Exiles PVSC 1
LA Harbor College
The young goats started out slow and were not able to finish many chances in the beginning. Exiles scored first, and Chivas answered back in the 26th minute of the first half by Frank Lara scoring a header crossed in the box by Ivan Gutierrez. The boys came out in the second half, per Coach Jesse Ochoa, keeping better possession of the ball and being more patient. As a result, the team made more connections from the defense, through the middle, to the forwards, and Ivan Gutierrez scored the next two goals in the 64th and 71st minute. Orlando Lopez capped it off with a penalty shot in the 81st minute of play. Goats received their second win of the season. They play their next game vs. SCVSC on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Veterans.
