Chivas USA Foundation will host 6th Annual Charity Golf Classic
CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, August 28, 2012) – Chivas USA's foundation, Fundación Chivas de Corazon USA will host its 6th Annual Charity Golf Tournament Monday, October 22nd at the Rancho Park Los Angeles Golf Club, known as the #1 played public golf course in the country. The event will open at 10 am with the Shotgun Start and finalize with a Beach Party at 4 pm. This year Chivas USA partnered with the Consulate General of México in Los Angeles, IME BECAS, and Loyola Marymount University Latino Alumni Association for the event. Part of the proceeds raised at the event will be used to establish a scholarship fund benefiting low income students.
“Chivas USA and Fundación Chivas de Corazón USA are proud to support young scholars in their pursuit of a higher education, and feel honored to partnering with such great institutions,” said Chivas USA’s Director of Community Affairs and Business Development Luis Rivera.
This is the second year in a row that Chivas USA’s Fundacion Chivas de Corazon USA designates part of the proceeds from its annual golf tournament to a specific cause, an effort spearheaded by the team’s leadership aimed at supporting low income students that deserve the opportunity of a better and higher education.
The entire Chivas USA team, coaching staff, club, Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles executives, IME BECAS, and Loyola Marymount University Latino Alumni Association representatives will be out on the green that day.
