Chatting with the ChivaGirls: Alex

First year ChivaGirl dishes on dancing in Wango Tango and being a ChivaGirl

Did you attend this year’s Wango Tango concert at The Home Depot Center? If so, you might’ve just caught a glimpse of first year ChivaGirl Alex as a backup dancer for the upcoming band, We the Future.

Alex’s love for dance started when she was just seven years old when her father enrolled her in her first dance class. She continued her love of dance as a member of her high school dance team, then joining the cheerleading squad her junior year and then becoming captain of the Varsity Cheer Squad her senior year.  The 18-year old is currently working on her Bachelor of Science degree at Cal State Los Angeles and plans on becoming a pharmacist.

When Alex is not busy with her ChivaGirl duties, she enjoys going to the beach with her friends, watching movies (most recently movie - The Five-year Engagement), and enjoys playing softball and basketball. The Southern California native also enjoys watching Americas Best Dance Crew, while snacking on apples and peanut butter.

When asked what her favorite thing ia about being a ChivaGirl, Alex responded, “Walking out into the stadium and seeing all of the fans going wild! It is such a great feeling!”

Meet Alex and the rest of the ChivaGirls before every Home game in ChivaTown, located at the North side of the stadium or during halftime on the stadium field for their halftime performance!
