Red-and-White defender Ante Jazic and the Canadian National Team will be in search of their second consecutive win in the CONCACAF 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers as they face Honduras this Tuesday at 4:45 p.m. PT in BMO Field. Jazic played 90 minutes in Canada’s 1-0 victory over Cuba last Friday at Estadio Pedro Marrero in Havana, Cuba after a goal by Olivier Occean.

The Canadians will look to take advantage of a weakened Honduras, who will be in search of their first three points of the qualifiers after falling 2-0 to Panama last Friday at home in San Pedro Sula. ‘The Reds’ are currently positioned as 77th place in FIFA ranking, while Honduras ranks in 55th place.

Canada sits in Group C of the CONCACAF Qualifying groups along with Panama, Cuba and Honduras; they are currently in second place of the group. The team with the most points in each group will automatically qualify to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The country with the fourth best overall ranking will then face off against the winner of the Oceania Football Confederation. The northern country has only qualified once to the elite intercontinental tournament back in 1986, ending contention in the group phase.

After the match against Honduras tomorrow, Jazic will return to Los Angeles and continue preparing for the Red-and-White’s match this Saturday against Real Salt Lake at The Home Depot Center.

The international match will not be broadcasted in the U.S., but you can follow the match on MLSsoccer.com (click here) or via Canada's Official Twitter Page: @CanadaSoccerEN
