Preview: Chivas USA U-14 vs. LA Galaxy

The youth teams kick off SuperClásico week today!

With a vast history in the First Team SuperClásico, the Chivas USA U14 squad will kick off the SuperClásico week today with the Youth Clásico match between the youth squad facing the LA Galaxy at 5 p.m. at The Home Depot Center’s Field 7. Both teams’ participate in the Southern California Developmental Soccer League (SCDSL).

So far in the 2011-2012 season, the Red-and-White U14 team hold a 6-4-2 (W-L-T) record with 25 goals in favor and 13 against with 20 points (6th place.)  Forward Jason Ballejo leads as team top goalscorer with eight goals in 11 games played. On the other hand, the Galaxy youth squad sits in fifth place with 25 points, 30 goals in favor and 13 against, and a record of 7-1-4. The last encounter between both youth teams was on October 20, 2011 as Chivas USA’s U14 took a 2-0 victory with goals from Edson Alvarado and Bryan Rodriguez.
