Chatting with the ChivaGirls: Sarah

Sarah talks about her love for dancing and traveling

Not many people would expect a professional cheerleaders to have a college education. But when it comes to the ChivaGirls, most all of the girls do.... or are currently working on earning their degree. One in particular is first year ChivaGirl Sarah, who most recently graduated from California State University Fullerton with a Bachelors of Science degree in Health Science. Sarah's future plans are to continue her studies and to soon obtain a Masters degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy.

Sarah has continued to "climb the ladder" with her dance career.  She was a four-year member of her high school cheerleading squad, a member of the CSUF Dance Team, as well as a member of the Professional Indoor Soccer Team for the Anaheim Bolts. When Sarah is not a ChivaGirl, she enjoys swimming & surfing at various California Beaches. Huntington Beach is at the top of her list. She also spends a good amount of her time coaching a local High School Spirit Squad. She enjoys healthy snacking, (Kiwi fruit among her favorite) and hiking or participating in any type of sports activity.

Aside from sports, Sarah loves to travel.  The number one place on her list? Costa Rica! She would love to visit this country’s great outdoors. Last year before joining the Chivas USA family, Sarah traveled to Anchorage, Alaska to judge a local dance competition.

When we asked Sarah what she thought about being a ChivaGirl, she replied, “So far, I’ve loved every second of it. Being at the games to experience the high energy level of our fans.... It’s amazing! To dance on our home field is just the best feeling ever!!!”

Meet Sarah and the rest of the ChivaGirls before every game at ChivaTown in the North side of the stadium or catch their performance during halftime in Chivas USA’s next home game!
