Chatting with the ChivaGirls: Ashley G

Second year ChivaGirl Ashley talks about her love for rollerblading and the fitness world

Since she was a little girl, Ashley knew dancing was her passion, begging her mom to take her to dance classes at the young age of five. Since then, Ashley’s dancing career has taken off. Growing up in Texas, Ashley moved to Los Angeles after high school to pursue her dream of becoming a professional dancer. She earned a spot in a rigorous and elite one-year program at EDGE Performing Arts Center, an internationally known professional training facility. Her dancing career has also taken her to be invited to teach dance classes in New Zealand.

When Ashley is not busy being a ChivaGirl, she likes to practice another talent she has: rollerblading! “I just love rollerblading, and I’m really good at it too!” Ashley said. “I always have my rollerblades in my car because people don’t believe I’m really good at it.” Aside from rollerblading, Ashley teaches cycling classes, enjoys snacking on almonds (red vines on her cheat days), watching documentaries on Netflix and having game nights (her favorites games are Apples to Apples and Celebrity.)

In the future, Ashley would like to cheer professionally for the NBA, visit Italy and be on the cover of women’s fitness magazine Oxygen.

When asked what her favorite thing about being a ChivaGirl, Ashley responded: “First and foremost, the fans. I love going out to ChivaTown and seeing the kids and everybody is so excited to get our autograph and our photo card and to see us dance. Then to see fans in the stadiums holding up our photo cards, it’s something really amazing!”
