Youth Academy player to look out for: Jose Anthony Dheming
For every player that goes by the Chivas USA Youth Development Academy, it’s coaches aim to train and develop these young and talented soccer players and prepare them for the Red-and-White First Team. The Academy not only pushes players to do well on the field, but off the field as well.
This month’s Academy player to look out for is Jose “Anthony” Dheming from the Chivas USA U18 team that is part of the US Soccer Development Academy (USSDA). Anthony has been a steady and consistent player all year long, appearing in 18 games, starting 17. The Gardena, Calif. native currently has nine goals this season for the Chivas USA U18 team, second best in team, helping the squad rank in first place in the SoCal Division. Aside from his performance on the field, Anthony graduated from Duke Ellington High School in Los Angeles in 2011, passing the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) in the 10th grade, and scored a 1500 on his SAT’s. Most recently, Anthony has joined the Chivas USA Reserve Team in training.
