Chivas USA Under 9 Youth Academy
This past weekend the 2003's participated in two events, the Pomona Christmas Parade and the 2nd SCDSL Showcase.

On Saturday, several of the 2003's represented Chivas USA and participated in the Pomona Christmas Day Parade. The boys rode on a float through downtown Pomona with the boys/girls club of Pomona and the Pomona United Youth Soccer league.  The boys enjoyed the festivities as well as the Chivas USA parents.

Sunday was the 2nd SCDSL Showcase which once again was played in Rancho Capistrano.  In the first game the 2003's played a gritty and tough Arsenal South team with Arsenal jumping out to a 2-0 lead.  Minutes before the half Bryant Ulloa scored on a cross from Collin Canales to bring the game within a goal.  In the 2nd half the 2003's scored 3 goals to outlast Arsenal and go on to win by a score of 4-3.  The 2nd half goals were scored by Tomy Angel, Aymar Cuevas and a beautiful header by Frankie Alvarez from a Joel Trejo cross.  In the 2nd game the 2003's beat West Coast FC by a score of 6-2. The 2003's put together a great display of combination passing and attacked from all over the field.  Bryant Ulloa started the scoring off for the 2nd straight game with another first half goal on a great ball played by Tomy Angel.  After West Coast scored at the start of the 2nd half, the 2003's opened up the game with 5 unanswered goals; Joel Trejo scored 2, Danny Vasquez, Alfonso Becerra and Bryant Ulloa all scored in the 2nd half.

The 2003's will finish up training for the 2011 year this week and take a two week Holiday break and resume training on the 3rd of January 2012.  Happy Holidays to everyone from the Chivas USA 2003 boys!
