Chivas USA Will Honor Heroes In Commemoration of 9/11’s 10th Anniversary

Free Admission for Uniformed Military, Firefighters and Police Officers

CARSON, CA. (Wednesday, September 7, 2011) – Chivas USA announced today that the club will honor all Southern California Military Personnel, Firefighters, Police, Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, and their families for this Saturday’s match between Chivas USA and DC United scheduled for 7:30 pm (PT) at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California.

Personnel from all military branches, firehouses and precincts are invited to attend the match for free courtesy of Chivas USA. All attendees and their families must report to a promotions tent at the Southwest or Northwest entrances of The Home Depot Center prior to the match. Personnel are required to show valid identification and wear Military, Firefighter, Police, EMT, and or Paramedic uniform (active or retired duty).

The match will be played on the night prior to the 10-year anniversary of the attacks. Goats’ players and fans will take time to remember the courage and resilience that followed the heartbreaking Sept. 11 events with special tributes at the stadium, on the field and on the video board during the game.
