Reserve game against Seattle postponed
CARSON, Calif. (Wednesday, April 6, 2011) – Chivas USA announced today that the Reserve League game against the Seattle Sounders, scheduled for Sunday, April 10th, has been postponed to a date to be determined.
The next Reserve League game schedule for the Red-and-White will be on April 17 against the Whitecaps at Vancouver. For more information on the Reserve League click here.
The MLS Reserve League provides essential developmental opportunities to players and is made possible by the growth of first team rosters from 24 in 2010 to 30 players in 2011. The new MLS Reserve League splits into East, Central, and West divisions with teams facing each divisional opponent twice for a total of 10 games per team. Clubs may schedule additional games for their reserve squads against non-MLS opponents.
After playing two matches on the road in the past week, the Red-and-White will return to The Home Depot Center on Saturday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m. when the team takes on the Columbus Crew. Tickets to the match start at as low as $15 and are available by calling 1-877-CHIVAS-1 or visiting cdchivasusa.com.
