About the team’s first shutout

Shut outs are a great thing. I think at home specially we need to get shutouts consistently so it was nice to get the first one of the season here.  Unfortunately, we didn’t put one on the board to take three points so we got to continue to still take the positives. It’s still early in the season. We just need to take the positives and continue to progress and build.

About the team getting defined roles

I think you can see it out there, compared to the first game, to now, four games in. We seemed much more of a unit.  Columbus just tried to kill the game. They wanted to make it slow and they wanted us to play long balls into their backs and then they killed the game off that way. We did our best to move the ball with speed and maybe we could have done a little better with that but at the end of the day we got a shutout and at least we took a point out of that.

About his performance on Saturday

I think I’m starting to feel my legs a little bit towards the end of the game. I think the trip to Guatemala caught to me a little bit but I still have to stay sharp and try to stay (in the game) mentally and it’s the hardest thing…. it’s important to stay focused even if you are tired; those are the moments when you have to stay the sharpest. You know, you learn from them. I hope I can put out the fires in the next game and next game, and the next game to follow.

About learning a new position

I’m still trying to get used to the league, to the pace of the league. I’m still trying to adapt to those kinds of environments. It’s a learning environment for me but I think everybody knows that a little bit. I’m glad they are patient with me. I’m trying to learn as fast as I can.
