Chivas USA and MLS W.O.R.K.S. to host first-ever Chivas USA Beach Clean Up Day

CARSON, Calif. (Wednesday, April 13) - Chivas USA and MLS W.O.R.K.S., Major League Soccer’s community outreach initiative, together with the noted environmental awareness organization, Heal the Bay, will host Chivas USA’s first-ever “Beach Clean Up Day,” an event that will engage local families, youth, supporters and members of the community in a day dedicated to the preservation of our ocean.

Nearly two-hundred volunteers have signed up to be part of the effort to clean-up debris along Torrance Beach. To make the experience more memorable, dozens of youth, families, and red-and-white supporters will be part of a three-bus caravan that will depart from various locations including the Home Depot Center in Carson, Normandale Park in Torrance and Environmental Charter High School in Lawndale. Beach Clean Up participants will be joined by Chivas USA front office staff, the ChivaFighter, and the ChivaGirls. Everyone attending the event will receive a commemorative t-shirt and raffle ticket for special prizes and one of a kind team-autographed memorabilia.
