CARSON, Calif. (Wednesday, March 30, 2011) - Chivas USA defender Zarek Valentin started and played all 90 minutes on Tuesday night, as the US opened the qualifying tournament with a 4-0 rout of Suriname. Valentin, who has nearly 30 appearances for the U-20 team, played as a right defender, next to his college teammate Perry Kitchen.
