CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, March 1, 2011) – Chivas USA forward Justin Braun represented the Red-and-White last week at the 2011 LA Sports Awards, the annual televised awards show celebrating the greatest sports moments of the year in the Los Angeles/Orange County area.

Fans voted online at www.lasports.org and chose what they thought was Chivas USA’s Greatest Moments in 2010. The winning moments for each professional team in Los Angeles were revealed during the sixth annual LA Sports Awards on Thursday, February 24 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Chivas USA winning moment was the biggest-ever road win for the Red-and-White on Cinco de Mayo (May 5th) by earning a 4-0 win over the New England Revolution. It was the club’s biggest-ever road win and tied for the largest margin of victory in team history, at Foxborough, MA. Braun, who scored a goal in that game and had two assists, received the award on Chivas USA’s behalf.

The awards gala was televised on Prime Ticket and included special appearances by many of the athletes and coaches whose achievements helped make ’10 such a memorable year in sports.
