Chivas USA U-18 team to face Santa Ana Winds in exhibition match

CARSON, Calif. (Wednesday, January 19, 2011) – The Chivas USA U-18 team will face the Santa Ana Winds FC (NPSL) in the Orange County team’s first exhibition match in Eddie West Field on Saturday, January 29 at 8 p.m. PT in Eddie West Field in Santa Ana, Calif. Tickets will be sold at the door at $5 for adults; kids wearing soccer jerseys get in for free.

"We look forward to be a part of Santa Ana Winds FC's first exhibition match" said Chivas USA's U-18 Head Coach Sacha van der Most. "The game will help our team prepare for our upcoming games in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy season and allow our players to compete at the Reserve level."

Chivas USA's U-18 Team is currently on break from the U.S. Soccer Development League, and sit in second place in the SoCal Division. Chivas USA's Youth Team have an overall record of 7-3-4 (1-1-2 in division) and have scored 27 goals and given up 20. The Red-and-White will return to action in the Development League on February 13 when they face Real SoCal in Cerritos College.
