The Chivas USA forward was released from the U.S. National Team due to injury

CARSON, Calif. (Jan. 12, 2011) — Chivas USA forward Justin Braun was released on Wednesday from the U.S. Men’s National Team January training camp.

Braun sustained a laceration in the region of his left Achilles on Jan. 11 during the morning training session.  The injury required four stitches and will sideline the forward for seven days.

The U.S. is currently in training camp in Carson, Calif., preparing for the first match of 2011, a friendly against fellow FIFA World Cup finalists Chile on Jan. 22 at The Home Depot Center.
