Chivas USA forward Justin Braun weighed in on the U.S. hosting the 2022 World Cup:

"I think it could be huge. Getting to see the World Cup in this country, being able to get to experience that atmosphere that the World Cup brings. I think at the World Cup you can learn a lot from different nation’s styles, with all those different countries in ours, it would be a huge growing and learning experience.

In terms of the sport, I don’t think anything could be bigger for soccer, just to get that exposure for the game here and to see what it’s really like and to see what spark it brings to the nation. To bring to people together like that will be tremendous for the awareness of the game here. It will help the game to grow, more than anything else could at this point right now.

I was only seven years old at the time of the ’94 World Cup, so I don’t remember too much of it to be honest. I wasn’t too into soccer yet and there wasn’t as much exposure to the game."
