Chivas USA practiced on Thursday for the last time in 2010 before taking a two-month post-season break. The last practice consisted of a full-field scrimmage between many starters against reserve and players on trials. At the end of the practice session, Vice President of Soccer Operations Stephen Hamilton wished them happy holidays and told them to be ready for the 2011 preseason, which is programmed to start on January 20th.

Local players like Jorge Flores, Gerson Mayén, Carlos Borja, as well as veterans like Mariano Trujillo said they were likely to stay in Southern California for the holidays, meanwhile others like Justin Braun (Salt Lake), Paulo Nagamura (Brazil), and Darío Delgado (Costa Rica) were going back to their native cities.

Chivas USA will summit on Monday its Protected List of 11 players for the Expansion Draft, which will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 24th.
