On Friday, Chivas USA players had fitness testing conducted by Adam Rotchstein, strength and conditioning coach at the training facilities at The Home Depot Center. Players had resistance and strength workout sessions in groups of four that were scheduled throughout the day. Among the players that were doing testing today were Bryan de la Fuente and Cesar Zamora, both of them will be training with Chivas USA next week and will join the U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team in Georgia on November 21. Meanwhile, Chivas USA Goalkeeper Coach, Daniel Gonzales, worked on Field 6 with goalkeepers, some of them from the Youth Academies.  Players will have the weekend off and will resume practice on Monday, in what will be the last week of training in 2010.

Major League Soccer’s Expansion Draft for Portland and Vancouver will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 24. Chivas USA, as well as the rest of the MLS clubs, can only protect 11 players. No MLS club can lose more than two players and clubs must submit a protected list on Monday, Nov. 22.
