CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, November 16, 2010) – In Mexico, former Chivas USA striker Juan Francisco Palencia played all 90 minutes in Pumas' 2-0 win over America at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. The win moved Pumas up to eighth place in Mexico’s First Division, and gave the team a spot in the First Division playoffs. Also in Mexico, forward Eduardo Lillingston played all 90 minutes for Indios de Ciudad Juarez in their 3-1 loss to Universidad de Guadalajara. Former Chivas USA midfielder Francisco Mendoza contributed 72 minutes of play in the match as well. Mendoza has 4 goals and 3 assists in 1,326 minutes of play for Indios de Juarez while Lillingston leads the team with 9 goals in 16 games and 1,216 minutes of play. Veracruz midfielder Juan Pablo García is recuperating from an injury and will be out for another one to two weeks. ‘Loquito’ has played in 10 games for Tiburones Rojos and has scored one goal in 619 minutes.

In Europe, Rot Weiss Ahlen's match against Stuttgart II was postponed due to a waterlogged field.  That put a hold on Matt Taylor's scoring streak, as he has an impressive six goals in nine games with Rot Weiss Ahlen since being transferred from FSV Frankfurt in July. Also in Europe, former Chivas USA midfielder Sacha Kljestan played just 3 minutes in Anderlecht’s 2-1 win over with KAA Gent. Anderlecht is in third place in the Belgian Pro League, five points behind leaders Racing Genk.

In England, former Red-and-White goalkeeper Brad Guzan was an unused sub in both of Aston Villa’s matches last week: a 3-2 win against Blackpool and a 2-2 draw to Manchester United. Aston Villa is currently in 9th place in the English Premier League with 17 points in 13 games. He remains behind fellow American goalkeeper Brad Friedel on the depth chart, but Guzan is currently with the United States National Team in South Africa for Wednesday’s friendly match.
