Chivas USA going pink for Breast Cancer Awareness in Saturday's match against Toronto FC

Team to incorporate pink into matchday experience as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month

Chivas USA will go Pink for
Saturday’s match against Toronto FC, incorporating the color into many
aspects of the matchday experience as part of the team’s efforts during
Breast Cancer Awareness month. In addition to a special pink soccer ball,
Chivas USA will have pink in its gameday gear for players and coaches, pink
t-shirts for volunteers participating in the Parade of Champions, a presentation
by the ChivaGirls, and much more.

USA players and coaches will incorporate pink into their gear, with special
patches on uniforms, sweatbands for players, and scarves for coaches. The team
will also be promoting Breast Cancer Awareness through other matchday events,
including a special halftime presentation by the ChivaGirls, and pink t-shirts
worn by the Band of the Game, volunteers, participants in the Parade of
Champions, and more.

Breast Cancer Awareness initiatives will span all of Major League Soccer,
including a special pink match ball from adidas, pink sideline towels from
Gatorade, patches on team uniforms, as well as pink sweatbands and scarves for
players and coaches. MLS is helping raise money for Susan G. Komen for the
Cure, an organization which has invested more than 1.5 billion dollars in
breast cancer research, education, and health services since 1982. The Los
Angeles branch of Komen for the Cure will be on-site with volunteers and
survivors, helping to raise awareness and continue the search for a cure.
