The
California Science Center was transformed into a shrine to the Red-And-White
as Chivas USA held their annual Season Seat Holder Party on Thursday.
Hundreds of season seat holders had the opportunity to mingle with their
favorite players, coaches, ChivaGirls, and the ChivaFighter.

“This
is a great opportunity to hang out with the fans on a more personal
level,” defender Jonathan Bornstein said. “We always see them from
the field, and try to sign as many autographs as possible, but I always
feel like we cannot get to everyone. Here, we can give back to the fans
and show them our support, because they always show us their support.”

Younger
fans played video games with their favorite players in the Kids Zone.
There were free giveaways, and performances by the ChivaGirls and Aztec
dancers. Supporters could talk with the Goats and collect autographs
and pictures.

“I
feel like we are all a family, and this is a good opportunity for our
big family to come together,” defender Alex Zotinca said. “Fans
can get their hand shake, which means a lot to them. It also means a
lot to us to get to meet our fans and to be closer to them.”

It
was a festive atmosphere, as Chivas USA fans reminisced about the highlights
of the season, and the recent victory over big brother Guadalajara.

“This
is my favorite day of the year,” Chivas USA President and CEO Shawn
Hunter told the crowd. “I get to spend time with the best fans in
Major League Soccer.”

The
Goats next play at home on Sunday at 5 against the Kansas City Wizards.
