Practice Report: August 24

Blair Gavin trains with the team and reports feeling "ready to go"

Chivas USA resumed practice on Tuesday after
Saturday’s game at FC Dallas. The starters from Frisco, TX, had a light
session; meanwhile the team divided in three groups and played a small tournament.

Midfielder Blair Gavin, who is recovering from a left hamstring injury, trained
with the rest of his teammates and is looking better ahead of Sunday’s
match against D.C. United. “I feel good, I feel healthy, I feel ready to
go”, said Gavin after training.

Midfielder Sal Zizzo was also excited
about his first game with the Red-and-White and said he “wasn’t too
nervous at all” when he entered the game during the second half.

The team
will train tomorrow ahead of a very though match on Sunday and a busy schedule
next week: a game vs. D.C. United on Sunday, the U.S. Cup Semifinal against the
Seattle Sounders in Washington on Wednesday, Sept 1, and then a Saturday MLS game at
Colorado.
