Forward Alan Gordon practiced with the Goats for the first time on Tuesday.

“It went really well. It is an easy transition,” Gordon said. “I am excited to get out here with the guys, and see what I can contribute.”

Gordon, who Chivas USA acquired from the Los Angeles Galaxy in exchange for allocation money, is expected to bring a scoring punch to the Red-and-White. He has 16 goals in 99 career MLS matches.

Gordon was impressed by the mindset of his new teammates. “This team is fighting to get into the playoffs,” he said. “I like that team atmosphere.”

During practice, Gordon frequently talked with defender Ante Jazic, who was his teammate with the Galaxy. “We are good friends,” Gordon said. “It is nice to have somebody close on the team. It helps to get things going on the right foot.”

Gordon will wear number 16 for the Goats.

Gordon did not make the trip to Toronto because his passport was either lost or stolen while playing in Puerto Rico with the Galaxy. However, he is expected to be in uniform when Chivas USA plays the Seattle Sounders on Saturday at 8 at The Home Depot Center.
