Pachuca (2007 SuperLiga Champions, participated in 2008, 2010), also known as “Tuzos”, hails from Hidalgo, Mexico, and comes to SuperLiga after a successful year in which the team won the CONCACAF Champions League and reached the semifinals in the Mexican First Division's Bicentenario 2010 tournament. The squad is run by head coach Guillermo Daniel Rivarola, features United States National Team members Herculez Gomez, the first American player to finish as top scorer in the Mexican League, and Francisco Torres, both of whom are currently in South Africa for the World Cup. Pachuca also has Argentinean forward Damián Manso, who led his team with seven goals during the Clausura 2010.

Puebla F.C. is making its first appearance in SuperLiga and is coming off a season in which the team scored 28 goals and is thought to have the potential to be one of the best offensive teams in this year’s SuperLiga. “La Franja,” as they are known, are directed by José Luis “El Chelis” Sánchez Solá, and features former MLS striker Carlos Ruiz. This will mark the team’s first appearance in an international tournament.
