Chivas
USA practiced for a very prolonged session this afternoon at Montclair
State University in New Jersey. Chivas USA Head Coach Martín Vásquez
talked to the players and explained tactics during a two-hour session.

Both goalkeepers that traveled with the team, Dan
Kennedy and Kevin Guppy, and both participated during a short game. It is
still unclear which of them will replace Zach Thornton in tomorrow’s
game. Thornton was ejected last Saturday against D.C. United after
conceiving a penalty kick at the last minute of play and was suspended
for a game.

Kennedy, who suffers from a left hip strain, has told media
that he will play tomorrow’s game if he feels ready.  All
players and coaching staff will meet again tonight at the team dinner,
where coach Vásquez will give them final instructions for tomorrow’s
match against the Red Bulls.

Chivas USA will break for the Group round of the 2010 FIFA World Cup and will return to The Home Depot Center on June 26 to play FC Dallas. Tickets and information can be found by calling 1-877-CHIVAS-1 or clicking here.
