The Red –and-White scrimmaged against local club FC Hasental to keep the team sharp during the World Cup break.

Chivas USA played a 4-4-2 formation with Zach Thornton playing goalkeeper.  The rest of the starting lineup was composed by Dario Delgado, Yamith Cuesta, Michael Lahoud, Ante Jazic, Carlos Borja, Ben Zemanski, Osael Romero, Blair Gavin, Jesus Padilla, and Maykel Galindo.

The Red-and-White got off to a fast start as Jesus Padilla scored in the first minutes of the match on a powerful shot past the diving Hasental goalie.  Although that goal would be the only scoring done in the first half, Chivas USA controlled possession for most of the half and had many strong shots on goal.

In the second half, Chivas USA brought in Dan Kennedy, Gerson Mayen, Chukwudi Chijindu, Jose Macotelo, and Jorge Flores.  FC Hasental scored the equalizing goal on a penalty kick.

Chivas USA will have the rest of the week off and training will resume on Monday ahead of the game against FC Dallas on Saturday, June 26.
