Watch Practice in Lake Elsinore Sunday
Chivas USA will hold its first ‘Practice in the Community’ of 2010 at Temescal Canyon High School in Lake Elsinore this Sunday, May 23 at 10:30 a.m. PT. The event, which is hosted by the Elsinore Valley Youth Soccer League, will include a practice session of Chivas USA’s first-team squad, followed by an opportunity for fans to take photos, get autographs and meet players.
“We are entering the third year of our Practice in the Community program, and we’re thrilled to visit Lake Elsinore,” said Chivas USA President and CEO Shawn Hunter. “This initiative gives our fans a chance to see some of their favorite players up close, and watch the team go through a real Chivas USA training session. We’re eager to visit and meet all the members of the Elsinore Valley Youth Soccer League.”
The May 23 practice will take place at Temescal Canyon High School, located at 28755 El Toro Road in Lake Elsinore. The event, the first in series of training sessions that Chivas USA holds each month across Southern California, will give fans the unique opportunity, free of cost, to come out and watch, up close, the practice session of a professional soccer team.
Sunday’s practice comes one day after Chivas USA’s next home game, against the defending MLS Champion Real Salt Lake, on Saturday, May 22. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. PT at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. For more information, or to purchase tickets to a Chivas USA match, please click here or call 1-877-CHIVAS-1.
