Chivas USA defender Jonathan Bornstein, a native of Los Alamitos and potential member of the United States National Team for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in South Africa, threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Sunday’s game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies at Dodger Stadium. 

 Bornstein
was accompanied by his family, including his mom, Rachelle Bornstein,
who was the catcher during the ceremonial first pitch.

The
Red-and-White returns to the training field Monday through Wednesday at
10:00 a.m. at The Home Depot Center before departing on Thursday for
Saturday’s match at the Columbus Crew. Chivas USA will host the
defending MLS Champion Real Salt Lake on Saturday, May 22 at 7:30 p.m.
