Red-and-White travel to Chicago and New England

RED-AND-WHITE TO
START BUSY WEEK WITH ROAD MATCHES AT CHICAGO AND NEW ENGLAND:
Fresh off
Chivas USA’s 3-2 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes, the team takes to the
road for a pair of matches in quick succession, first taking on the Chicago
Fire this Saturday, May 1 at 5:30 p.m. PT (7:30 p.m. CT). The match will be
broadcast live on KDOC, KWHY, and W Radio 690 AM in Southern California, and
will be the first-ever MLS match featuring two Mexican head coaches (Martín
Vásquez and Carlos de los Cobos). After playing Chicago, the Red-and-White
travel to New England to take on the Revolution next Wednesday, May 5 at 4:30 p.m.
PT (7:30 p.m. ET), and will be broadcast on Prime Ticket, KWHY, and W Radio 690
AM.

CHIVAS USA
RETURNS HOME ON SATURDAY, MAY 8 FOR ARMED FORCES NIGHT:
Completing a busy
week after visits to Chicago and New England, the Red-and-White will return to
The Home Depot Center on Saturday, May 8, taking on the Houston Dynamo at 7:30
p.m. PT. Chivas USA will be out for revenge after Houston won the first match
in the 2010 series between the teams on April 17. The match is Armed Forces
Night at The Home Depot Center, and as part of the festivities, the first 7500
fans through the gates will receive a commemorative Armed Forces hat. The team
will also be wearing a special uniform for the game to help celebrate the
event, with Chivas USA honoring all members of the United States armed forces!

‘MARCH TO THE
MATCH’ WITH BAND OF THE GAME AND FANS STARTS AT 6:30 ON SATURDAY, MAY 8:
A
new tradition has hit The Home Depot Center in 2010, with Chivas USA fans, the
Union Ultras supporters group, and the Band of the Game (from Narbonne High
School), all gathering for the ‘March to the Match.’ With everyone making noise
and getting ready for the match, all fans are encouraged to join the group when
it leaves from Lot 11 at 6:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, May 8, continuing this new
event which will occur prior to every home match the Red-and-White play. Join
the hardcore fans and the Narbonne High School band, next week’s Band of the

 ‘CHIVAS AT THE PARK’ CONTINUES SATURDAY, MAY 1
AT GILBERT LINDSAY:
Chivas USA has
kicked off the popular ‘Chivas at the Park’ program, and will continue the
series of soccer clinics taking place in various parks throughout Los Angeles
with a session on Saturday, May 1 at Gilbert Lindsay Park at 425 E. 42nd
Place in Los Angeles. The clinics, which offer participating boys and girls
ages 5-15 the opportunity to learn soccer techniques and practice drills that
highlight teamwork in an environment that promotes the importance of fitness
for the entire family, cost just $5 and include 90 minutes of soccer instruction,
a Chivas at the Park t-shirt, and a certificate of completion. For more

CELEBRATE CAL SOUTH NIGHT ON MAY 8 VS. HOUSTON DYNAMO:
Chivas USA will be
looking for revenge against the Houston Dynamo on Saturday, May 8 at The Home
Depot Center as the club celebrates Cal South Night at the stadium! Cal South
State Cup champions and runners-up will receive special recognition at the
game, and all Cal South members will have access to special ticket deals for

KLJESTAN, BRAUN
AND CHIJINDU GIVE CHIVAS USA 3-2 WIN OVER SAN JOSE:
Chivas USA earned a 3-2
win over the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday, April 24, moving the team’s
record to 2-3-0 (W-L-T) in 2010. Sacha Kljestan, Justin Braun and Chukwudi
Chijindu all scored their first goals of the season for the Red-and-White, and
the match represented the first time the Red-and-White had scored three goals
in a game since Oct. 4, 2008. Rookie midfielders Blair Gavin and Ben Zemanski,
both coming out of the University of Akron, manned central midfield for the
Red-and-White, and Anaheim’s Carlos Borja made his MLS debut, entering the

LIVE SOCCER TOURNAMENT TO TAKE PLACE ON MAY 8:

CHIVAS USA YOUTH
TEAMS TOP SAN DIEGO SURF AT CERRITOS COLLEGE:
The Chivas USA Youth Teams
enjoyed an excellent weekend, with both the U-18’s and the U-16’s taking
one-goal victories over the San Diego Surf in matches played at Cerritos
College. The U-16’s started off the action with a 3-2 win, and the U-18’s kept
the shutout to win 1-0. Both teams are now in second place in the SoCal
Division of the Development Academy’s West Conference, the U-18’s with a 7-5-0
record, and the U-16’s with a 5-5-2 record. The rosters and full schedule for
the Chivas USA U-18 and U-16 teams, which compete in the 2009-10

GUADALAJARA TO START PLAYOFFS THIS WEEKEND AT MORELIA:
Chivas de
Guadalajara enjoyed a strong showing in the Bicentenario 2010 regular season,
and enter the playoffs this coming weekend, facing Morelia on the road on
Saturday in the first leg of the quarterfinals.  The Rojiblancos will host
Morelia at Estadio Jalisco a week later, and the aggregate score winner will
advance to the semis. Chivas is looking to extend its record championship haul
