April 9 Practice Update
In preparation for their match vs. New York tomorrow, Chivas USA practiced today at The Home Depot Center. Chivas USA Public Relations was on hand to give this report from the training session:
Chivas USA returned to its normal training time of 10:00
a.m. for a light session this morning at The Home Depot Center. After a brief
warm-up and 5v2 drills, the group split while some worked on tactics with Head
Coach Martín Vásquez, while others played short-sided matches on small fields.
The team looks to shake up the lineup for tomorrow’s match against the
New York Red Bulls at 1:00 p.m. PT, as Vásquez told media after today’s
session that goalkeeper Zach Thornton would return to the starting lineup for
the first time in 2010. To purchase tickets to tomorrow’s match, head to
the ‘Tickets’ section of the website, or call 1-877-CHIVAS-1.
Remember, Saturday's game is part of the 2010 Chivas USA Kids Pack, meaning that kids get in free! Get more information here.
