As Chivas USA prepares for the first of two back-to-back afternoon games, the team practiced at a later time today.  Chivas USA Public Relations was on hand to give an update:

Chivas USA trained at a new time today, 1:00 p.m. PT, as the
team prepares for Saturday’s 1:00 p.m. match against the New York Red Bulls
at The Home Depot Center in Carson. After a warm-up and passing drills, the
team divided into two groups and played 10v10 to small goals before adding in
goalkeepers and lengthening the field to its full size for a brief scrimmage. One
of the groups featured Costa Rican National Team members Michael Umaña and
Darío Delgado playing together at center back. It was Delgado’s first
practice since being announced officially as a member of the squad, though he
is still awaiting paperwork to be eligible for Saturday’s game. The team
will train again at 1:00 tomorrow as the group gets accustomed to playing under
the hot sun ahead of Saturday’s match, however, tomorrow’s training
session is closed to the public.

Tickets for this Saturday's match are available by clicking here or calling 1-877-CHIVAS-1 (244-8271). Check back here at cdchivasusa.com regularly for practice reports, match coverage and much more.
