Chivas USA Public Relations was on hand at practice today to give this report:

Chivas USA returned to training on Monday morning at The Home Depot Center after
the tough loss in Houston on Saturday, and a day off on Sunday. The training
session was relatively light, with the players who played 90 minutes against the
Dynamo doing some running and stretching, and the rest of the group playing
short-sided games. Marcelo Saragosa did some fitness work after a calf strain
forced him to miss Saturday’s match, and the only player who picked up any kind
of injury at Houston was Blair Gavin, who opened a wound over his eye going for
a header. Gavin has several stitches and will likely need to wear protective
head gear until the stitches come out. The Red-and-White will continue training
from Tuesday through Friday ahead of Saturday’s match against the San Jose
Earthquakes on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
