As the team prepares for their first road trip of the season Chivas USA practiced today at The Home Depot Center.  Chivas USA Public Relations was on hand at the training and had this to report:

Chivas USA trained on Wednesday morning at The Home Depot Center as the team continued preparations for Saturday’s match at the Houston Dynamo. Today the Red-and-White worked through a few different formations as the team looks to shake up the lineup after injuries in last week’s game to Maykel Galindo and Ante Jazic, who will miss the trip to Houston. Also missing from practice today was Osael Romero, who is in El Salvador for a few days attending to personal business. Head Coach Martín Vásquez mentioned to media that in light of potential absences, and because of his strong performance against New York, midfielder Jesús Padilla looks to make his first start of 2010 as the team faces the Dynamo in a game that will be broadcast live on TeleFutura, Prime Ticket, and W Radio 690 AM.

In attendance at today’s training session were a group of coaches earning USSF Coaching certification, who also were able to ask questions of Vásquez and Assistant Coach Carlos Juarez following practice.

The Red-and-White will return to Southern California for a game against the San Jose Earthquakes on April 24. For more information on that game and to purchase tickets, click here.
