Carey Talley is in the market for a new team. Again.

The 12-year veteran defender, who has suited up for five different teams, was waived by Chivas USA on Tuesday. In 2009, the 33-year-old Talley made 27 starts during the regular season for the Goats. He also started the side's two playoff matches.

“Carey provided leadership and strong play for us in the last two seasons,” Chivas USA Vice President of Soccer Operations Stephen Hamilton said in a statement released by the club. “This year, both he and the club decided to move in a different direction. We would like to thank him for his service to Chivas USA, and wish him the best of luck in the next phase of his career.”

Also waived by the club on Tuesday was goalkeeper Jon Conway, 33.

Both transactions follow a flurry of player-movement activity in MLS involving veteran players. In the past few days, Chicago goalkeeper Jon Busch, Colorado midfielder Pat Noonan, and San Jose midfielder Simon Elliott have all been waived by their clubs.
