2011 ChivaGirls Banquet

On December 7th, the 2011 ChivaGirls came together as a group to celebrate the end of an exciting and successful season with Chivas USA. This end-of-year gathering took place aboard the Electra, a classic yacht that took them on a nighttime tour of Newport Harbor. The evening kicked off with hors d'oeuvres, festive music, and a front row view of the cheery homes along the Harbor, extravagantly lit up for the holidays.

After dessert was served, everyone settled in for the formal part of the evening's program. Aimee Edmundson, ChivaGirls Director spoke about highlights of the season and thanked the members of the team for their dedication and hard work. She then yielded the floor to Clem Gatmaitan, Chief Financial Officer of Chivas USA, who also thanked the team and spoke about the tremendous asset the ChivaGirls are to the Chivas USA organization.

The much-anticipated season highlight video followed. There was lots of laughter and applause as the group watched some of the team's fun times and memorable performances. Remember the first game? Remember those crazy cha-cha-cha costumes? Remember halftime with the Sparkle Cheerleaders?

After the video, Aimee surprised everyone with end-of-season gifts. The Chivas USA executives and front office staff received a special poster featuring this year's team. Then there was a moment of suspense as Aimee announced a special surprise: Each ChivaGirl received an individual poster featuring photos of herself. The posters were a big hit!

The program wrapped up with the presentation of the 2011 ChivaGirl Awards. All of the ChivaGirls are beautiful and talented, and the awards singled out a few who stood out in extra special ways:

Alma - Promo Girl of the Year
Anncell - Most Improved ChivaGirl
Ashley G. - Most Dedicated ChivaGirl
Brittney R. - Chivas Spirit
Carolyn - Rookie of the Year
Denise - Hardest Working ChivaGirl
Linette - MVP
Laura and Whitney - Team Leaders

That concluded the evening's program. The crew turned up the music, and the rest of the evening was spent enjoying each other's company and the beautiful scenery in Newport Harbor.
