Chivas USA goalkeeper Dan Kennedy proved to have very little skills when it comes to video games. Ahead of this Sunday’s SuperClásico, Kennedy faced the LA Galaxy’s Robbie Keane to a game of FIFA 13.

Also participating in the bracket, assistant equipment manager Hugo Perez has New York with the MLS Cup win, with the Red Bulls facing Houston in the conference final.

Chivas USA’s Dan Kennedy and Juan Pablo Angel were joined by LA Galaxy’s Landon Donovan and Omar Gonzalez in a press conference held today in The Home Depot Center ahead of this Sunday’s SuperClásico. As the four players walked into the TV Studio the tension and awkwardness was felt instantly in the room full of media members [see photo above].
Goalkeeper Dan Kennedy was the first to open the conference to talk about the team’s defensive line saying, “We’re among the best because there’s a great relationship within the team. Galaxy has a great attack, as we saw in the last game… But I’m confident in our group.”
When asked about the importance of the SuperClásico and whether he wants to score against his former club, forward Juan Pablo Angel stated, “Clásicos are meant to be won, not played… I don’t care if I score; I just want to win.”
Even though last Saturday’s loss in the second SuperClásico of the season was tough, there is somewhat of a bright side: midfielder Paolo Cardozo’s goal against his old club, and first ever MLS goal is now nominated for MLS’ Goal of the Week.
Cardozo’s goal came just in the 52nd minute when the Red-and-White were down 2-0. Midfielder Ryan Smith went past three Galaxy defenders to give the pass to the Uruguayan who was just at the 18-yard line, and struck a shot that goalkeeper Josh Saunders could not stop.

Chivas USA midfielder Blair Gavin surprised many, including the fourth official, as he went into the SuperClásico last Saturday rocking his new mustache. Galaxy midfielder David Beckham was also spotted with a mustache/beard. Who wore it best? You decide! (P.S- You can follow Blair’s moustache on Twitter: @GavinsMustache)
Glad to hear all this support for @BGav18 and I. He's the man in the midfield, I just make his mouth look good!#dontshavethestache
