City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks
In 2008, Chivas USA’s strong ties to City of Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa resulted in the creation of “Chivas at the Park LA,” a unique collaboration with the Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation that offers youth ages 5-15, the opportunity to participate in 90 minute soccer clinics led by professional Chivas USA Academy coaching staff. Save Our Sports
 
Chivas USA has teamed up with the LA84 Foundation to help preserve high school soccer at 68 local schools within the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD. The major donation made by Chivas USA will provide funding for boys and girls soccer programs at the varsity and junior varsity levels, keeping high school soccer intact for more than 5300 students. A long term, collaborative effort will aim to build and maintain strong high school soccer programs of which coaches, students, and families of greater Los Angeles can be proud.

Chivas USA is proud to join Donate Life California in its efforts to inspire all of Southern California to take action and give the gift of life. Today, this partnership is stronger than ever with Chivas USA leadership, staff and players committed to raising awareness of the benefits of organ, and tissue donation amongst its fans, partnership network, and general public. Joe Baca Foundation
Chivas USA is proud to support the Joe Baca Foundation in its effort to improve the quality of life for Inland-Empire youth, families and communities! Each year Chivas USA and the Joe Baca Foundation hosts a soccer clinic that promotes fitness and fun for the whole family. Participating boys and girls learn soccer techniques from Chivas USA Academy Coaches, and are also treated to a Chivas USA home game experience.
