Chivas USA had a reason to celebrate in this Wednesday’s training session at The Home Depot Center’s Track and Field Stadium; the team bid Marky Delgado farewell as the youngster joins the U.S. U18 squad in Portugal and celebrated his 18th birthday.
After two hours of strenuous training, the group, led by Captain Dan Kennedy, prepared to throw Delgado a cooler full of ice and water. After the icy surprise, players presented Marky with a Birthday cake, who turns 18 on Thursday, but due to international duty, the celebration was moved to Wednesday.
